Your orders were receiv'd at 8 ocl this evenig, I have anticipated the orders of all the State Guards have been on duty:since noon today, We will do all we can with our force to prevent a crossing, We have opened communication with the Gun Boat ann will guard the ford at this place tonight:We have plent of amunition - The Gun Boat will remain near Matamurris Lie tonight, The Couier receives this as he goes down if any thing occurs quite (____) you will know on his return.
