3. Christmas card. "0ctober 11, 1980, Bath County, VA. Historic meeting of the two Lewis brothers for the dedication of the Colonel Andrew Lewis and Colonel Charles Lewis Memorial Highway. In 1774, Andrew commanded the army of Virginians that marched across the Allegheny Mountains to the Ohio River where, on October 10, he fought and won the Battle of Point Pleasant--opening engagement of the American Revolution. Charles and 45 others were killed and buried the following day, on October 11. 206 years later, Andrew's fourth great-grandson, Lieutenant Colonel James Lewis Montague (standing) and Charles' fourth great-grandson Colonel William M Preston (on horseback) portray their ancestors.
