Historical Note: Morgantown Glassware Guild managed to stay competitive for several decades by innovating and keeping abreast of lifestyle trends. Most notably, Morgantown Glassware Guild produced the official White House crystal of John F. Kennedy. In 1961, First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy ordered a set of glassware in a simple pattern called "The President's House," which contrasted traditions of ornate glassware. Mrs. Kennedy's choice ushered in an era of simple glassware on tables across America that remains to this day.
Scope and Content: This collection contains negatives of promotional material for "The President's House" set from Morgantown Glass Company, the opening of the Display Building for Blenko, and a man blowing glass at Blenko.
