All-Day Tour Includes Visits To 2 Colleges

By John Cawthorne

Sen. John Kennedy, Democrat candidate for the presidential nomination, will arrive at the Ohio County airport at 9 a.m. Tuesday for an all-day tour of the Wheeling area.

The senator, who will be accompanied by his wife Jacqueline, is expected to visit two local colleges, several industrial sites and a supermarket in addition to making a speech at the McLure Hotel.

A tentative schedule announced for the senator's visit in Wheeling is as follows: 9:30a.m., a visit to Bethany College; 10:45 a.m. a visit to West Liberty State Teachers College; and at 11:45 a.m. an interview at WTRF-TV.

The senator's afternoon timetable has not been completed at present but it was reported that he hopes to hold a press conference at the hotel and visit a supermarket, the Sylvania Electric Co., Hazel Atlas and possibly other industrial sites.

A spokes man for the senator said that he would not visit the campus of Wheeling College as the students will still be on Easter vacation.

The public is invited to hear Kennedy speak at the McLure Hotel at 7:30pm.
