Reception Wednesday for Humphrey's Wife

Mrs. Muriel Humphrey, wife of Senator Hubert Humphrey who is a candidate for the presidential nomination of the United States will receive guests at a reception in her honor at the dining room of the Weirton Community Center Wednesday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

The public is invited to attend this informal affair when a "coffee hour" will be enjoyed along with Mrs. Humphrey speaking on the subject closest to her heart, Sen. Humphrey and her family.

An enthusiastic homemaker when not campaigning for her husband, she designs and makes most of her clothes. The Humphrey's have four children, Nancy, their only daughter is 21 years old and a second year nursing student at Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis. They have three sons, Hubert III, Bobby 15, and Douglas 11.


Prelude to The Primary

Hi buddy - Edward (Ted) Kennedy, right, brother of presidential-hopeful John Kennedy, shown greeting a Weirton Steel company employe at Gate No. 5 early today. Ted brought his brother's campaign to Hancock county at 6 a.m. today. He said West Virginia will play a potent force in the success of the Kennedy campaign. The younger Kennedy will be at the Weirton Community Center for lunch, will tour the Weirton Steel company; will dine at Ferber's restaurant and climax his day at Holiday Lanes and Chestnut Bowl.
