Kennedy Will Speak Here At Ox Roast

Final details of the ox roast to be held this afternoon at the City Park band shell, honoring Senator and Mrs. John F. Kennedy of Massachusetts were announced yesterday by William Bruce Hoff, chairman for the event.

They are as follows: 2 p.m., program begins; 2:30 p.m., Big Red Band concert begins; 2:45 p.m., introduction of candidates for local and state offices; 3 p.m., Senator and Mrs. Kennedy's party arrives; invocation by the Rev. Harley E. Bailey of the Jefferson Baptist Temple; approximately 3:15 p.m., Senator Kennedy's address, following which the receiving line begins; approximately 4 p.m., band concert continues; ox roast will be served.

Senator Kennedy is seeking presidential nomination in West Virginia's primary election May 10.

Supporters of the senator who have worked toward today's event in addition to Chairman Hoff include William B. Richardson, master of ceremonies and entertainment chairman; R. P. McDonough, advertising chairman; Mrs. William H. Biddle, literature chairman; Mrs. O. C. Boles, decorating chairman; Mrs. Robert E. Burkey, food and drink chairman; and the following hostesses, Nancie Boles, Priscilla Whitlatch, Janet Humphrey, Ann Durkin, Beverly Chambers, Joan Woodard, Sheila Whitlatch, Susie Whitlatch, Mrs. Stanford Wells and Mrs. Gregg Chapman.
