Charles Town Kiwanians Here Kennedy Plea

CHARLES TOWN, May 4 - A plea for the candidacy of United States Senator Kennedy for the Democratic nomination for the Presidency was presented before the Kiwanis Club here at its weekly dinner-meeting at The Thomas Jefferson Hotel.

The speaker was Mrs. Polly Fitzgerald, a cousin of the Senator. She listed what she termed the outstanding qualifications of the Senator and said she hoped he would carry West Virginia at the May 10 primaries.

The program was presented by the Kennedy-for-President organization.

Mrs. Fitzgerald also called attention to the Kennedy rally staged last night at the race track here.

She was accompanied in her appearance by other members of the Kennedy organization. Mrs. Peter Flynn, Miss Angela Novella and John Galimum.
