Mrs. FDR Here Today

Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt, recently voted by Theta Sigma Phi sorority as the soman of the world "who has contributed most to society in the past 50 years, comes back to West Virginia today.

The widow of President Franklin D. Roosevelt will climax a tour of southern West Virginia with a speech at a rally at Charleston's Municipal Auditorium at 8 tonight.

She will land at Mercer County Airport near Bluefield at 10 a.m. En route to Charleston, she will make these stops:

Princeton, 10:35 a.m.; Hinton, 11:35; Beckley, 12:30 p.m.; Mount Hope, 1:50; Oak Hill, 2:10; Fayetteville, 2:40; Gauley Bridge, 3:20; and Montgomery, 3:55.

Five West Virginia radio stations will broadcast Mrs. Roosevelt's Charleston speech at 8:30 p.m.

At 9:15 P.M., Mrs. Roosevelt will hold a press conference at the Daniel Boone Hotel here.

Also coming to the state Wednesday is U.S. Sen. Ly[n]don B. Johnson, the Democratic nominee for Vice President. He will speak at noon in Huntington at a rally at the Cabell County Courthouse.
