I Wm Price Lieut. Col of the 139 Reg. 20th Bright & 3rd Division Do here by certify that on the 17th day of October 1862 at David Thompsons I Superintended the Election of a Captain of one of the companys of that Regiment of lite infantry when the votes of all of the company present being given viva voce a majority was found to be in favour of Job St. Glasseoeh who was there by Duly Elected Captain of the said company to fill a vacancy occasioned by promotion of Wm Price to Lieut Col former Captain that a majority of persons present which were entitled to vote and that the Election was justly and farely conducted and also at Beelington on the 20th day of Oct 1862 Samuel [?] was Elected captain of a company of the Same Regt.. and also Bartholomew Rosenberger, was Elected Captain of a company of the same Regt. The above was all conducted as the Law required given under my hand this the 3rd day of Nov 1862
