Phillipi[sic] Barbour County Wst Va[sic]

Adjutant General of west va[sic]
F. P. Peirpoint[sic] Wheeling

Dear Sir I will inform you that there is a Rigment[sic] in Barbour Co that does not muster that Regt was organized the Same time that my Regt was in the year 1862 they could have mustered as well as my Regt but they do not I have kept my Regt in good order ever Sence[sic] 1862 and we muster Regular according to law and they are no beter[sic] than we are the Regt that I inform you of is the 1,37 Regt west va militia it will have to be called out and Reorganized again if you will appoint me I will attende[sic] to if forthwill[sic] with pleasure
