I acknowledge the receipt of your order for provisions for the mo. of July and also for clothing, for which we have have a right to be grateful.

Enclosed you will also find my muster Roll. I had no form but I think on examineation [sic] it will be found correct. WM Martin named at the bottom of the Roll is Substitute for Marshal Boyles. And a much better- man. You may recollect that some time Since I wrote for the discharge of three of my men. viz. Jacob R. Bolyard James - W. Fry. and Thomas. H. Fry. They were- made of Such material that I could do nothing with them. Their discharges have not been received.

My requisition for provisions calls but for twenty five men. Did I not write for twenty-Six. It should have been So.
