Sir,
I have the honor to request of you requisitions for subsistence stores for seventeen men from the thirty first of Oct. inst [sic] to the thirtieth of Nov. 1'64. I have a sufficiency of prove slow on hand for the number of men I may recruit. Your of my men recently left and went into U.S. Service. I send you a list of the names of those remaining.

I should say that your letter of recent date is rec'd informing me that we could not be paid until the meeting of the Legislature This was sad intelligence enough.

Would it be too much for me to request a grant of a small bill of clothing.
