Know all men by this presents (sic) that I Wm H Brewer of Boyd Couny (sic) and state of Kentucky Do here by constitute and appoint L.F. Moore my agent and attorny (sic) to prosecute my claim and collect my claim agst the state of West Virginia for my service as a privat (sic) in Company by Captain Joseph Barker of the Regiment of Virginia malitia (sic) and to sign my name to any pay roll necessary to obtain the pay merit of the June and to recive (sic)a receipt for all monies that may be coming to me for my service above (?) from any person or personl (sic) an (?) co-pay the same and to do all (?) necepary (sic) to effect the object of his appointment Given under my name this 9th day of August 1866

Jones notary Public in and for the County and state afore said do certify that the foregoing Power of Attorney from William H Brewer to LJ Moore was this day produced to me by William H Brewer who there upon acknowledge the same to be his act and deed for the purposes there in named and the same was duly stampt (sic) according to law Given under my name this 9th day of Augst (sic) 1866
