We the under signed being appointed by the volunteer company of home gard [sic] to conduct a Election do certify that Seman, P, Bonnell was Elected Capt of said company and Charles Shutter first lieutenant and Vincent, A.

Often My Best Respects to you I would say to you that I think there is no doubt but our company will be full in a few weeks as the law require if you Except of our company you w and can furnish us armes [sic] you will send them to Salem Harrison County and Jesse S. Snodgrass is the man appointed by the Company to Receive them and to account to you for the same your obedient Servant
