Dear Sir I received the documents you sent me in due time and a letter that informed me that you had fill my order and shiped [sic] to Ellinborough and Ill last say that we did not get them our ammunition too soon as there is great excitement here now a raid expected at any moment in refference [sic] to the ammumition [sic] you have ordered back I brought one box on and have given some of the cartridges out to some captain Nutters men that were scarce of ammunition they are not in a condition to send back to you so I will keep them and turn them over to Capt Nutter I sent to [unreadable text] at Ellinborough to ship one box to you that has not been disturbed
