In rout from Wheeling
to Hancock County

Personally appeared before me John Campbell a Justice in and for Said County in the State of West Va John Edwards Jr. Jammes Obrine William Gressell James Grimes Frank Anderson + Robert Wilson. Who made oath that thay [sic] would the Constitution of the United Stats [sic] as the Supream [sic] law of the Land any thing in the ordinence [sic] of any Convention To the Contrary notwithstanding. That thay [sic] would Suport [sic] and defend the Goverment [sic] of Virginia as vindicated and restored by the Convention which assembeled [sic] at Wheeling on the 17th day of June 1861 and that thay [sic] would be true and faithfull members of the panhandel [sic] Grays
