Br. Hager pleas[sic] State to the govener [sic] , and press the facts on his mind. That the trouble in my Co. was started for the purpos [sic] of presenting me from being in Mr. Benedicts way as Candidate for the legislature and it was was Seesed [sic] by the Baptist influence to injure me as A Methodist minister.___ Tell him that I had Room locked and in that my guns and commissary stores. The window was opened one knight [sic] and $20.00 worth of coffe [sic] stolen. and some other property clothing and afterward the lock was broke and whatever taken they, chase, and after, I had taken all that was left in to my own house.

Several items of cloathing[sic] was stole when my wife was absent only two hours.. The guns and accutriments[sic] lost were stolen all but 4 They ware Borrowed by Capt Smiths men and not returned. I have faithfully kept and recorded all as far [sic] as I could. and he must say whether I am to pay for them or not.. Do for me the best you can
