Photograph, Watson Brown, son of John Brown, was mortally wounded during the raid on Harpers Ferry and died on October 19, 1859. His corpse was taken to the Winchester Medical College, where it was skinned and used as an anatomical specimen. Boyd B. Stutler Collection
