Photograph, Jennings Randolph and Albert "Happy"Chandler, senator from Kentucky, autograph baseballs for Clark Griffith, owner of the Washington Senators, 9 April 1943. Chandler went on to serve as commissioner of baseball and a second term as his home state's governor. Griffith, a long-time player and manager, owned the Washington team from 1920 until 1955.
