The committee for Schools and Colleges reported the following bill.
No. 47, "A Bill to repeal and re-enact section second of an act to authorize the Trustees of Brooke Academy to transfer their property to the Mead Collegiate Institute and to authorize said Institute to transfer the same property to the Trustees hereinafter appointed, passed Feb. 6th, 1862."
On motion of Mr. Kramer,
Resolved, That the committee on Schools and Colleges enquire into the expediency of reporting a bill repealing the 3d, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th sections of Chapter 79 of the Code of 1860.
On motion of Mr. Kramer,
Resolved, That the committee on Courts of Justice enquire into the expediency of reporting a bill amending an act passed February 15th, 1862, entitled an act to provide for the payment of costs in prosecutions for misdemeanors, &c.
On motion of Mr. Kramer,
Resolved, That the committee on Finance enquire into the expediency of reporting a bill amending section 49 of the Code of 1860.
On motion of Mr. Kramer,
Resolved, That the committee on Finance be instructed to enquire into the expediency of reporting a bill amending section 1, 2, 3, 4 and 13 of Chapter 20 of the Code of 1860.
On motion of Mr. Wheat,
Resolved, That the committee of Privileges and Elections be enstructed to enquire into the expediency of consolidating Ungers and Harneses precincts in the county of Morgan and change the place of voting to the house of Bazzel Shorkeys in Oakland.
Mr. Crothers presented a petition from sundry citizens of Brook county opposing the further extension of the stay law.
Mr. Kramer presented a petition from sundry citizens of Monongalia county praying for the extension of the stay law.
Mr. Bumgarner presented a petition of sundry citizens of Mason county against the further extension of the stay law, all of which petitions were referred.
Engrossed House Bill No. 37, "A Bill making an appropriation for the relief of the suffering and destitute inhabitants in certain counties" was taken up, and thereupon on motion of Mr. Wheat the vote ordering the bill to its engrossment was reconsidered, when he moved to strike out the name of "John McCown" and insert the name of "B. M. Kitchen," and the question being put it was determined in the affirmative, and thereupon the bill was ordered to engrossment.
Engrossed House Bill No. 17, "A Bill to amend the Charter of the Holliday's Cove Rail Road Company" was taken up, and thereupon Mr. Smith moved to lay the bill on the table, whereupon Mr. Patrick demanded the yeas and nays, which demand was sustained, when Mr. Kramer moved the previous question, which motion being seconded the main question was put and the vote recorded as follows:

Mr. Wilson moved to adjourn and thereupon Mr. Farnsworth demanded the yeas and nays, which demand being sustained, the vote was recorded as follows:

Mr. West renewed the motion to adjourn and thereupon Mr. Kramer demanded the yeas and nays, which demand being sustained, the vote was recorded as follows:

The question being on the passage of the bill Mr. Patrick moved the previous question, which motion being seconded the main question was put and the vote recorded as follows:
