Meeting in the 4th Ward Saturday last.

Wheeling, April 18, 1863.

Editors Intelligencer:

At a meeting of voters of the 4th ward with other business transacted, it was voted, that three delegates be elected by ballot, to represent this ward, at a county convention to be held the 25th inst.

Messrs. E. C. Jeffers, Thomas O'Brien and Andrew Britt were accordingly elected.

After some discussion the following resolutions were unanimously adopted:

Resolved, That, as the sense of this meeting, the delegates from Ohio county, in the Parkersburg convention, vote only for candidates for the different State offices, who are of known ability, integrity and unconditional loyalty.

Resolved, That this meeting is opposed to the spirit of dictation apparently exhibited in the card which recently appeared in our daily paper, in reference to a candidate for Governor, and that our delegates are requested not to be influenced thereby.

Resolved, That the Secretary cause these resolutions to be published in the Intelligencer.
