Rumors of Another Invasion.

There were rumors from down the Baltimore road yesterday that a body of rebel guerrilla cavalry had made their appearance at Arnettsville, Monongalia county, last Sunday night, and at Newburg, on the railroad yesterday morning. The facts, as they turn out, are that some forty or fifty fellows of that region bonded themselves together to go through the lines and join the fortunes of their friends, the rebels, and preliminary to doing so they stole a number of horses and were making off with them when seen. Last night we learned that an effort was being made to catch them. If caught they will be tried and dealt with as horse thieves and outlaws.

These are the facts in the case and will explain the sensation rumors that were prevalent yesterday about another invasion of this section. There are no regular rebel soldiers in this vicinity as yet, but we think that in all probability they may be expected before a great while.
