A GRAND MASS MEETING of "Union loving men and friends of the Government and the New State," is announced to be held at Morgantown, Monongalia County, next Saturday. Wm. G. Brown, of Preston, Auditor , SAMUEL CRANE of Wheeling, and Col. James Evans, of Monongalia are announced as speakers. The call announces the "the object of the meeting is to discuss the merits of the different candidates for Congress in the 2d District to consult together on the best mode of producing harmony and concert of action among ourselves, and providing for our common safety."

In the evening after the speeches, there will be a balloon ascension from the Court House Square.
