Retreat of the Rebel Raiders through Braxton County.

The following telegram was received on Saturday afternoon by Gov. Boreman:
Grafton, Oct. 1, 1864.
Capt. Hagans reports the rebels retreating by way of Bulltown. The following is an extract from Capt. Hagan's dispatch: "Much property has been carried off. - Their conduct was such as characterizes nothing but robbers. They robbed stores and private houses, carrying off the clothing of men women and children, in some cases, compelling women to take off their shoes and stockings. Their horses were loaded down with stolen property. Many of the citizens were robbed of their money, rebels and union citizens fared alike. - The loss to this country (Upshur) cannot be less than forty thousand dollars. Their entire conduct was the most shameful character."
