Joseph Adams Jr.
1924-1944

Navy Seaman 2nd Class Joseph Adams, Jr., was born on November 6, 1924, to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Adams, Sr. At the time of his enlistment in the Navy on December 10, 1943, his family resided in Chattaroy, Mingo County, West Virginia, where his father was an assistant mine foreman for the Howard Collieries Company.

According to an obituary in the Williamson Daily News, Joseph was fatally injured when he fell from a service truck in the Admiralty Islands in the South Pacific in 1944. Sadly, few details are known of the life or death of S2c Adams.
