Washington - Two presidential candidates:Sen. John F. Kennedy (D-Mass) and Sen. Hubert H. Humphrey (D-Minn) apparently have chosen West Virginia as one of the few states in which they will face each other in a primary election.

A spokesman for Humphrey announced Wednesday that the Minnesota senator's name will be formally entered in the primary today.

And Kennedy's campaign headquarters announced Wednesday that Kennedy will hold a special press conference this morning in regard to the West Virginia primary.

The Kennedy office first announced that he would hold the conference in the secretary of state's office at the State Capitol Building in Charleston, but later they switched the location to Washington, explaining that Kennedy won't be able to leave the Senate because of legislative activity.

Political observers said it is obvious that Kennedy intends to file in West Virginia.

The Humphrey spokesman, Robert Barrie, director of Humphrey's campaign committee, said he would file Humphrey's certificate of candidacy and also the $1,000 filing fee.

Barrie said he will arrive in Charleston by plane at 10:30 a.m. and go directly to the secretary of state's office.
