Humphrey Appearance Here Set For Monday;

P.H.S. Band on Deck!

That the Pineville High School Band will extend a musical greeting to Senator Hubert Humphrey, Presidential candidate, as he appears briefly at High Noon on the steps of the Wyoming County Court House, was disclosed this week by Marshall G. West, State Co-Chairman for the Minnesota Senator, as he makes his tour through the coalfield area seeking votes in his Presidential Preference Campaign in West Virginia.

Due Here At Noon

Unless the Senator's vote commitments on the floor of the Senate Monday morning should force other plans, his itinerary will provide that he and his campaign caravan will leave the Daniel Boone Hotel shortly after 5 a.m. on the 11th, proceed to Marmet, Racine, Danville, Madison and Logan, where breakfast has been arranged for he and 200 of his Logan county supporters; thence, to Man for a 15 minute stop. Oceana for a similar period and to Pineville, where the Presidential aspirant will mingle with the crowd for a 30 minute period.

Return to Washington

Humphrey will then likely be rushed to Beckley where a plane will take him to Washington, for an appearance on the Senate floor the same afternoon.

Originally, Humphrey's plan included a trip to Welch for lunch, thence to Bluefield via coalfield town, but Washington headquarters late this week felt it necessary to alter his campaign schedule.

The Herald staff was advised late this week that Senator Kennedy will likely make his Wyoming appearance on Tuesday, the 26th.
