Senator John F. Kennedy, Democratic candidate for president, was scheduled to arrive in Parkersburg aboard his private plane sometime during the night, according to information from Democratic headquarters.

Flying here from Washington, D. C., the senator from Massachusetts is scheduled to appear at a coffee in his honor at the Elk's Club building on Juliana St. at 8 a.m. Following a short address before assembled guests, the presidential hopeful will greet the public, which has been invited to the free coffee. Senator Kennedy and his retinue will then depart for Charleston, Huntington and Beckley at 9:15 a.m.

Campaigning for the May 10 primary in West Virginia has been heavy during the past few days. Franklin D. Roosevelt, Jr., has toured a section of the state, stumping for Kennedy and at one time his schedule called for a stop in Parkersburg, last night, but the appointment was cancelled. Fred A. Forbes of New Hampshire, chairman of the Kennedy campaign, has been in Parkersburg on at least two occasions recently, preparing the way for the presidential candidate.
