Bob Kennedy To Be Here Tuesday

Plans have been completed for the public appearance here of Robert Kennedy, chief counsel for the McClelland rackets committee and brother of Democratic Presidential Candidate Senator John Kennedy.

The speaking engagement had been originally planned to be at a dinner but has been changed to a public gathering at the court house building Tuesday evening April 26 at 6:30 p. m. The time was set for early for early evening so that the speaking could also make an appearance that evening in Glenville.

Local Kennedy supporters stated the change in plans had been effected in order to handle a much larger crowd than was originally anticipated.

Several state candidates have expressed their desire to be present and it is expected that the affair will offer opportunities for Calhoun county Democratic primary voters to meet and talk with their party candidates.

The Calhoun County Democratic Kennedy group sponsors of the event have announced that refreshments will be served free of charge.

Master of ceremonies will be Victor Hamilton, Grantsville attorney, Mrs. Evelyn Campbell, also of Grantsville will in charge of refreshments.

Bob Kennedy is author of a new book "The Enemy Within" in which he reveals some of the work he has done while investigating for the Senate committee.

He is a graduate of Harvard and received his bachelor of law degree from the University of Virginia. He has served as chief counsel for several senate committees and was chose as one of the ten outstanding young men in the United States in 1954. He served as a seaman aboard the USS Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. during and after World War II. He has also found time for extensive travel to many foreign countries.
