Sen. Humphrey Will Speak Here Today

United States Senator Hubert Humphrey of Minnesota who at the present time is actively engaged in a contest with Senator John F. Kennedy of Massachusetts will be in New Martinsville Thursday. Senator Humphrey will speak at the Courthouse in New Martinsville at 4:30 p.m.

In this final week before the May 10th primary both senators are increasing the tempo of their campaigns in West Virginia.

Senator Kennedy's younger brother Ted visited New Martinsville week before last and Senator Humphrey's close personal friend Minnesota Governor Orval [sic] Freeman was in Wetzel County last week. Senator Humphrey will speak Thursday from in front of the Courthouse. If the weather is inclement he will speak in the Circuit Court Room.
