MIKE HUMPHREYS

Fiddler Mike Humphreys was born in 1919 in Elkview, Kanawha County. His pure and polished fiddling, along with his quiet and genial personality, earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him. Mike was equally comfortable with old-time, bluegrass, and country music styles. A popular performer at local festivals, Mike also appeared regularly on radio and television throughout the Kanawha Valley and in other parts of West Virginia. Mike Humphreys passed away in 1986.
