Also included are numerous papers of A.P. Sinnett's son, William (Willie) Edgar Sinnett (1860-1926) and his wife, Mary Connell Sinnett (1875-1965). William E. Sinnett was a surveyor in the timber business in southern West Virginia, later ran a grocery store in the South Ruffner area of Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia, and also served as a Justice of the Peace.
Contents: This collection consists of nearly 800 items including survey maps, surveys, legal documents, field notebooks, a pocket diary, receipts, vouchers, and miscellaneous papers spanning the approximate years 1843-1931. Many of the maps and surveys are originals but some are of the 'true copy' form by Sinnett or others.
