Historical Note: Patrick Benson Withrow was born on October 9, 1880, in Rocky Fork, Kanawha, West Virginia. He was the son of Joseph Scott Withrow and Mary Jane Robinson. In 1902, he married Pearl Byers in Charleston, Kanawha, West Virginia. In 1911, Reverend Pat, also known as "Brother Pat," launched the Union Mission to serve the less fortunate of West Virginia. The Union Mission still exists in Kanawha County, West Virginia. Pat and Pearl were blessed with four children. Following the untimely death of Pearl, he entered into matrimony with Cora Hull in 1951. He passed away in 1957.
