New Provost Guard. - The 28th Ohio Infantry, numbering about one hundred and fifty men and commanded by Lieut. Col. Edwin Fry, arrived in the city on Tuesday evening and will hereafter do guard duty in place of Capt. Over's company, the term of service of the latter having expired.

Lt. Col. Fry of the 28th Ohio Infantry, is now acting Provost Marshal of the City in place of Lieut. Henry Knapp, whose term of service has expired and who will be mustered out in a few days. Soldiers awaiting muster out will report to Col. Fry hereafter, instead of Lt. Knapp.

In speaking of the arrival of Col. Fry's detachment of the 28th Ohio Infantry a few days ago to act as a provost guard, we stated that it numbered about 150 men. There are over three hundred men in the detachment. One company, however, has gone to Parkersburg.
