Gov. Peirpoint. - The many friends of Gov. Peirpoint were glad to see his familiar face among us again. He arrived on Saturday, and is on a few days visit here and at Fairmont. He goes to the latter place on this forenoon's train. The Governor never looked to be in better health.

In Town. - F. H. Pierpoint, Esq., originally, of Fairmount, formerly of this city, but who has recently been connected with the "government" at Alexandria, and who had the currish disputation with Ben. Butler, arrived in this city on Saturday. He is stopping at the McLure House.
