Historical Note: Jacob Teuscher was born November 16, 1871 to Johannes Teuscher and Anna Ueltschi in North Georgetown, Columbiana, Ohio. He married Anna Marti in 1904. They had four daughters: Alma S. Teuscher (Hill) (1906-2006), Lena Ruth Teuscher (Gurtek) (1908-1996), Gertrude Ida Teuscher (Paul) (1912-1995), and Margaret Mae Teuscher (Smith) (1917-2010). They were part of the Helvetia community in Randolph County, West Virginia. Anna died in 1939, and Jacob passed in 1955.
