Processing Notes: Photos were taken out and separated from Laurel Lake Blueprints in Ar1838 collections. Photos were arranged by dates and series numbers on images from creators.

Historical Note: Construction of the Laurel Lake began around 1960 on leased land from Island Creek Coal Company, Georgia Pacific Corporation, and the Cotiga Development Corporation. Laurel Lake is only 29 acres of the total 12,854 acres that make up the Laurel Lake Wildlife and Management Area.
Scope and Content: Aerial B&W photos of Laurel Lake Dam and Wildlife Management Area between September 30, 1977 and April 12, 1978. Images also show an empty Laurel Lake, Laurel Creek, Laurel Creek Road, Daniel White Drive, and Old County Road. Aerials also show the historic Dingess Tunnel. Some tops of residential houses can be seen.
