Cultural Center to turn on the lights

11/22/04

The West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History will kick off the 2005 holiday season on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, at 6 p.m. when it turns on the lights for two 25-foot wreaths which will hang from the north and west sides of the Cultural Center. Each wreath has more than 4,500 multi-colored lights and is encircled with 150 feet of rope lights which provide the frame. The wreaths sport three 10-foot holly leaves and three red holly berries. They will remain on display through the holiday season. For more information, contact Stephanie Lilly, exhibits coordinator for the Division, at (304) 558-0240, ext. 128.
