Body resigns as acting commissioner

Kay Goodwin, cabinet secretary for the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History, today announced that Troy O. Body, acting commissioner of the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History, has resigned to accept a position out of state.

Body has been acting commissioner since July 2004. Previous to his appointment, he served as deputy commissioner for the agency. His resignation is effective Dec. 31.

“Commissioner Body has worked tirelessly on behalf of the Department of Arts, Culture and History,” said Goodwin. “His energy and vision have served the agency very well, and we will certainly miss his leadership.”

According to Goodwin, no decision has been made on a replacement.
