Historical Note: This collection is primarily the documents surrounding the life of Earnest Eugene Sarver, his wife, Iva Leone (Morell), and his father, Olly T. Sarver. There are documents from other members of the family. The Sarver family originally emigrated from the state of Pennsylvania to Newport, Kentucky. As the years passed, they moved from Kentucky to Wetzel County, West Virginia. Earnest Eugene Sarver was born in New Martinsville, West Virginia to Ollie Tennis and Mary E. (Moore) Sarver. Earnest Eugene Sarver served in the United States Navy during World War II.
