Congressional Nominations.
PARKERSBURG, March 29 - Hon. A. G. Jenkins was re-nominated for Congress from this District by the Democratic Convention, which assembled here yesterday. He was nominated on the first ballot by acclamation.
It was a matter of very little importance to us, and of no special interest to the country, we presume, to know that Jenkins had been nominated, but as long as it was considered momentous enough to be put on the wires, we do not see why it could not just as well have come to Wheeling as to have gone East.
