Federal Court:Yesterday the Federal Court resumed its special session at the court-house. A young man named Armstrong, who was a lieutenant in the rebel army, but who got tired of the business and returned and gave himself up to Gen. Cox in the Kanawha valley, was, upon establishing the above facts, admitted to bail by Judge Jackson, in the sum of $5,000 upon his taking the oath to support the restored Government of Virginia and the Constitution of the United States.

William Bennet, indicted for treason, was brought out, but as the testimony was of a doubtful character, the Court held the case under advisement.

A man named Fisher also applied for bail. He didn't know as his sentiments had undergone any particular change:didn't know whether he had seen enough of secession or not. He was sent back to prison.

Col. Smith, the District Attorney, submitted an argument on the confiscation business, in which he gave his views as to the meaning and intention of the act.
