Guerrilla Work.:Alexander Beatty, a Union man and magistrate of Wirt county, West Virginia, (immediately back of Wood county,) was shot in his field by a guerrilla assassin, on the 25th ult. And died soon after. On the same day a party of guerrillas stole about about [sic] a dozen State muskets from the house of a Mr. Carver, on Tygart's Creek, sixteen miles from Parkersburg.
