The United States of America, vs. Isaac R. Trimble.
In Rem., in a cause of forfeiture and confiscation.

Whereas, at the fall term, A. D. 1862, of the District Court of the United States for the Western District of Virginia at Wheeling, an information was filed on behalf of the United States, by the Attorney thereof for the said District, against 168 boxes of Railroad Fastenings, described in said information as the property of Isaac R. Trimble; alleging in substance that said Isaac R. Trimble is acting as an officer of the army of the rebels in arms against the Government of the United States, and that he is holding an office or agency under the Government of the so-called Confederate States of America, and under the rebellious Government of the State of Virginia, one of the States of the Confederacy, and that he was the owner of the property aforesaid, and praying that said property may be confisacted and sold as forfeited to the United States.

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the monition under the seal of the said Court to me directed and delivered, I do hereby give public notice to all persons claiming any interest in said property, to appear before the Judge of the District Court for the Western District of Virginia, at Wheeling, on the 6th day of April, A. D. 1863, if the same shall be a day of jurisdiction, or else on the next day of jurisdiction thereafter, then and there to interpose their claims and make their allocations in that behalf.

Dated this 4th day of February, A. D. 1863.

Edward M. Norton,
Marshal of the United States for the Western District of Va.

Benjamin H. Smith, District Attorney.
