Prompt Payment. - On Monday last the Board of Supervisors of this county paid to the banks of the city $50,000 of the money borrowed for the purpose of paying bounties to the soldiers, thereby relieving the county from the interest which would have accumulated had the debt gone on to maturity. The Board was enabled to do this by the inducements held out to tax payers to come up promptly and pay their indebtedness to the State.
