RELEASED PRISONERS
March 4, 1865
For several days past a large number of released Union prisoners enroute from the pens of the south to Camp Chase, have been passing through the city. Yesterday there were about a hundred in town. The most of them look like walking skeletons, and can move about with the assistance of a heavy staff or crutches. They all agree as to the horribly inhuman treatment received at the hands of those in charge of the rebel prisons.
