WE yesterday had the pleasure of conversing with a member of Battery D. He reports the boys all well and in good spirits. They are still at Clarksburg and are busily engaged in fitting up quarters and constructing a fort. They think that about the time they get it completed and every thing sung and comfortable, they will have to leave as that has heretofore been their experience. Their term of enlistment will expire in about five months, just about sufficient time to enable them to see the rebellion wiped out. They have done good service and proved themselves brave soldiers, and though they have been unfortunate in some respects it has never been through any fault of theirs. They have always had the confidence and received the highest meed [sic] of praise from every General under whom they have served, and that has been quite a number.
