Remember...Bernard W. Adams

T/4 Bernard Adams, of Elm Grove, Ohio County, was born in 1922, the son of Edward and Ethel M. Campbell Adams. Pvt. Adams attended grammar school, and he was single at the time of his enlistment at Ft. Hayes in Columbus, Ohio.
Bernard Adams was assigned to Company A, 81st Tank Battalion, which was shipped overseas early in 1944 to England. The unit sailed for Normandy in late July. Bernard was killed in France on September 1, 1944. He was interred at Arlington National Cemetery (Section 12, Site 27669) on December 6, 1946.
