Sir at the time of Jones Raid there was Two of my Company paroled one of them was in the fight at fairmont, Va. the other was no armed but they found his gun at his dueling house and from some cause ascertained that he was a member a State Vollenter Co and accordingly paroled him These men claim to be exempt from Duty and also from Drill Please advise me on the subject by return mail
