Peterstown Photo 5 Byrnside Dam, a half mile below Peterstown. This is really Rich Creek made into a dam to supply Byrnside's mill, which was once near here. The early mills were an integral part of the life of the pioneers. Peterstown was the site of three mills, owned originally by Christian Peters. One was four miles east of the village, another was one mile east, and the third in the heart of Peterstown.
